Supports and Services
The Autism Spectrum Support Group of Southern Maryland offers support to families and caregivers of people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a variety of ways (listed below). At this time, it does NOT provide services directly to people with ASD.
The Autism Spectrum Support Group of Southern Maryland offers:
- In St. Mary’s County, Autism Spectrum Support Group of Southern Maryland meetings are the 3rd Wednesday of the month, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Coffee Quarter in the San Souci Shopping Center in California, MD.
- In Charles County, Autism and ADHD meetings are the third Thursday of the month, 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the Panera in La Plata, MD.
- In Calvert County, Autism Support Group meetings are the 3rd Thursday of the month, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Hunting Creek Annex, 4105 Old Town Road, Huntingtown, MD.
The Listserv is for parents/caregivers of people with ASDs. It’s a closed group. Parents/caregivers may request to join by going to the “Forum” tab above and clicking on the link. Once admitted to the listserv, members are encouraged to post messages (questions, comments, concerns) to the group. The Listserv is a great opportunity for parents to help each other!

Conferences and Workshops
The Autism Spectrum Support Group of Southern Maryland collaborates with other organizations in the three counties to bring expert speakers to the area while keeping the cost to families low.
With successful fundraising, the Support Group has been able to offer camp scholarships for children with autism in Southern Maryland to attend summer camps.
